Our current operations are in Africa, Australia, Europe, Latin America and across Canada from Quebec to BC, including the Arctic Territories. The sector focus is typically on remote operations in Mining, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Government, EngineeringConstruction & Utilities/Hydro.

To better serve our growing customer base in the Western Canadian market, this position will be located in Calgary, Alberta and will report to the Director of Operations in the company’s head office in Montreal.

Responsibilities and accountability

  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical support to our Western Canadian clients, across multiple channels: helpdesk, email, phone, chat;
  • Help identify and resolve issues that arise and liaise with the technical team and the account manager as required;
  • Take ownership of the client’s requests and ensure quick response and resolution of all issues, escalating to the technical/product team or account manager as required;
  • Ensure client requests, issues and bug reports are always captured in the Helpdesk system and Issue/Development tracking systems;
  • Attend scheduled and unscheduled appointments at our customers head offices as well as site visits;
  • Develop/maintain and grow business relationships with our existing customers, prospective customers and their related logistics suppliers (aviation companies, bus companies, camp management) by attending functions and events;
  • Assist the project manager in the implementation of our solution for new accounts by participating in the software configuration, integration and customization activities with the technical/development team;
  • Engage in continuous training and knowledge sharing activities with the team to always be on the forefront of technologies and methodologies;
  • Foster the company culture, mission and values.

Skills and personality

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills in both oral and written;
  • Autonomy and ability to work collaboratively with an extended team and the clients;
  • Ability to balance a wide variety of technical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced work environment;
  • Hands-on technical experience with an interest in continuous improvement of its technical knowledge;
  • Persistence and determination in solving complex problems and working within constraints;
  • Bilingual English/French is a strong asset.

Technical expertise

  • Knowledge and experience of Agile/SCRUM project management methodology;
  • Project management and Issue Tracking systems (cloud-based);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.;
  • Knowledge of SQL language/Microsoft SQL Server, reporting tools is a strong asset.

Experience and education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in B2B software/web solutions;
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
    • Resources (Oil & Gas / Mining)
    • Aviation
    • Accommodation
    • Transportation/Logistics
    • HR/Workforce management
